CNO: We should never lose sight of always looking for the next big thing. Always looking ahead. Looking to make our capability better, more effective and as warriors, more lethal.

Jones: I think the most important thing I do is attract the best and brightest people here at ONR. If we get the best people, then everything else flows from there.

Chapman: It’s imperative that we use science and technology as a means to help sailors learn, in order for them to embody the very things that make the Navy mission work.

Gruber: The pace of innovation has accelerated tremendously and the global reach of technology and innovation has also expanded quite a bit so we have to really be prepared to reach out to essentially all corners of the earth and all venues.
